Young people,

especially young men are prone to drowsy driving accidents because they naturally need more sleep. Driving while you are tired is very dangerous, it can result in a death of you or someone else. The ability to stay alert in the adult driver population is a problem.  Numerous laboratory studies have demonstrated that sleep deprivation causes a decline in alertness and performance. This poses a threat to other drivers.

In many cases drowsy driving can be fatal, you can end up with serious injuries or mental impairment.  If you feel that you are getting drowsy behind the wheel, you should stop and either take a nap, drink a cup of coffee, or switch drivers.
